The Knoxville Parks and Recreation Center will hold a Public Open House on Thursday February 17th. Parks and Recreation Department Director Brandon Nemmers tells KNIA/KRLS News that the event will help shape the future of recreation in the city.

“Well, this will be a public input session on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the next 10 years, so facility wise is what we are looking at here from a larger picture. And it gives people a chance to give their input. We’ll have it broke down as a roundtable discussion, so it will be a come and go style, you won’t have to sit and listen to a two-hour presentation. You can come in and go to your table if you’re interested in the rec center … give your input, talk to the people that are there and move on.

The Knoxville Parks and Recreation Center Public Open House will be held on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum from 5:30-7:30 p.m, Thursday, February 17th.
