A midseason surge has the Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad feeling confident heading into its class 1A regional opener at Wayne tonight. The two teams played in each other’s season opener with the Falcons gaining an easy win. However, the Saints are a different team as they did not have freshman Addison Wadle running the point and Coach Kelsey Goff is looking forward to seeing how her team competes against someone they saw earlier in the season.

Goff: “We definitely must have everything on key. It’ll be nice to see everyone have a nice game, and it’ll be nice to see how we’ve improved against a team that handled us early in the season.”

A win by the Saints would put them in a possible match up with Southeast Warren in a quarterfinal game next Tuesday.
