Bondurant-Farrar used pressure defense and quickness on defense to dominate Knoxville in boys basketball Thursday night 86-39 heard live on 95.3 KNIA. The game was tied at six when the Blue Jays turned up the full court pressure and ended the first quarter on a 12-2 run and never allowed Knoxville any closer. The lead grew to 35 just last the halftime break to invoke running clock for the remainder of the game. Panthers Coach Troy Pearson told KNIA/KRLS Sports he liked the way his team started and hopes they can use that in their next games.
Pearson: “I thought we started off well. We played pretty good defense against them as well. It was 6-6 and we were doing good things. We can’t control if it goes into the basket all the time, but we can control the other parts of the game, and I thought we were doing a good job of that.”
Gabe Clark finished with 16 points to lead Knoxville who dropped to 5-15 on the season and has one final regular season game at home against Fairfield next Thursday.
