The Indianola Community School District is completing the rollout of laptops for elementary school students, providing technology equipment throughout all four elementary schools. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the district is mindful of creating good digital citizenship with the students, and parents will have multiple opportunities to limit the use of the laptops.

“There are a lot of things parents can do. They can go in and limit how much the laptop is on, if they want to shut it down at 8pm at night for example and not have it be used again until the next morning at school, they can put that timer in there. They can limit certain websites or content to lock it down, and even view whatever their students are viewing.”
