The Indianola wrestling team competed at the Class 3A State Dual Wrestling Meet Wednesday at Wells Fargo Arena. The Indians fell to Southeast Polk in the opening match 45-26, then just fell short of Bettendorf in the consolation semifinals 33-28, and took down Johnston 51-12 to earn a seventh place finish.

Seven Indianola wrestlers will compete at state individual meet beginning today, in addition to four Indianola singers, Joey Werling, Andie Guley, Erica Knupp, and Casey Daughenbaugh, being selected to sing the National Anthem at the state meet. Find full wrestling results on today’s local sports.
