Construction crews continue to make progress on the new Knoxville Middle School building project. The new middle school will deliver a 21st century learning environment for students. Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News that administration is hoping the project will be done before next school year begins, but says they have planned accordingly.

“More likely it will be an October move date, so in our calendar, we’ve identified October 10th and 11th which is a Monday and a Tuesday, as professional development days to help move everything into the new building if it’s not quite ready when school starts in August. If anything from a construction standpoint is held up or doesn’t arrive on time, there is a small chance too, we may be moving in over Christmas Break.”

Construction on the project began on March 24, 2021.
