The Pella City Council is holding a pair of budget workshops this week. Assistant City Administrator Corey Goodenow says two special meetings will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the Pella Public Safety Complex. Goodenow says the council will discuss department needs, capital projects, and projections for the next five fiscal years as they plan for the budget that begins in July. Following these week’s work sessions — which are open to the public, the Pella City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 1st to officially submit the next budget to the State of Iowa.
