Three Pleasantville wrestlers competed at the state wrestling tournament at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines this past week.

At 126 lbs, Caleb Cook came away with a 1-2 record. After losing his first match to Kendrick Huck of Nashua-Plainfield, Cook won his only match over Garrett Cole of Van Meter by fall. In the next round, Cook was eliminated by Nick Schmidt of Beckman Catholic. At 132 lbs, Kitt Lundy went 1-2 as well, with his only match win coming over Kolt Knaack of North Tama. Lundy lost to Charlie Veit of East Sac County and Brody Neighbor of Alburnett. Dillon Ammons went 0-2 at the tournament, losing to Maximus Magayna of Columbus Catholic and Jackson Boese of Van Meter.

Pleasantville finished the 2021-22 season with an 18-5 dual record and three state-qualifying wrestlers.
