Much of the offseason work for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad will be on furthering their skills and strength training. The Panthers ended up 6th in the South Central Conference in rebounding this season and Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that area begins to improve by being stronger.
Ritchhart: “We got to get into the weight room. We’re going to do a heavy emphasis of skill development and see how much we can turn this 10-12 into something better.”
Ritchhart adds that skill development begins during the offseason and not when practice begins in November. Knoxville finished up the season with a 10-12 record and will bring back nearly 95% of its scoring from this season.
