After improving their win total from four to six this season, PCM’s girls’ basketball squad will be looking to continue to improve next season.

The Mustangs will be returning four starters from last season that accumulated over 72% of their average point total from the 2021-22 season. PCM will also have bench players Maddie Reed, Sidney Shaver, Evelyn Burkett, and Elle Davis. As a team, the Mustangs will try to improve offensively after averaging just 34 points per game in 23 games this season. With the Steenhoek sisters, Paige, Sophia, and Addison returning along with Riley Johannes PCM will look to score more consistently while maintaining their defensive intensity against a quality Heart of Iowa Conference.

PCM finished the 2021-22 season with a 6-17 record, a 5-9 Heart of Iowa Conference record, and a first-round playoff loss at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
