The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad was off to an 0-6 start on the season and needed something to get them on track. One key addition near the Christmas break was freshman point guard Addison Wadle. While Wadle’s return was a key moment in the season and allowed the Saints to do more offensively…COach Kesley Goff says she made everyone around her better by allowing everyone to play their natural position. Goff adds not only did Wadle make the team better, everyone did their part in the turnaround after the break.
Goff: “It’s not because of one person, but we all got better. Addison did her part but we all gto better because of that and we improved as a team.”
The Saints went from an 0-6 start to an 8-7 finish to the season to finish up 8-13. Wadle in 14 games played led the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game while Kamryn Hendrickson led three players with over 100 rebounds as she grabbed 144, which was 10th in the Bluegrass Conference.
