Freshman point guard Addison Steenhoek burst on the scene this year for PCM’s girls’ basketball squad, and she hopes to continue to improve on both sides of the ball in the coming years.

Steenhoek was elevated up to the Mustangs’ varsity squad right away and made an impact with her shooting and passing on offense. Steenhoek led PCM in points, assists, and steals per game as a freshman in 2021-22. She was also given the opportunity to play with the other Steenhoeks, Paige and Sophie to implement some chemistry into the team. The three Steenhioeks fed off of each other and often brought out the best on the team, especially defensively. The Steenhoeks combined to average 21 points, over ten rebounds, four assists, and five steals per game in 23 games in the regular season.

With Addison, Paige, and Sophia Steenhoek all returning, PCM will look to have a better record in a loaded Heart of Iowa Conference in 2022-23.
