The Simpson Storm women’s basketball team puts their undefeated conference record on the line one more time this season, hosting the Knights of Wartburg in the American Rivers Conference Tournament Championship Game in the Cowles Fieldhouse.

The Storm blew out the Knights in their first matchup this season 90-66 at home, then had to get some late-game heroics to force overtime where the Storm picked up a 78-73 win on the road. Assistant Coach Moran Lonning said Wartburg is great at making adjustments, so the Storm will simply have to counter that by making their own adjustments.

“I think with our veteran group we’ve gotten a lot better at making adjustments too. So for us it’s if we have a lapse, can we re-focus quick enough to not let them go on a run. Maybe they score on a possession or two, then we need to buckle down and get a stop.”

The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame begins at 3:45pm, with tip-off scheduled for 4.
