With four senior starters graduating, PCM’s boys’ basketball squad’s goal will be to reload for the 2022-23 season.

 

Carson Vandelune, Matt Rosonke, Cade Lindsay and Durant Van Dyke were all starters for PCM that will be graduating this season. The lone starter returning for PCM will be Jacob Wendt, who had a strong second half of the season. Wendt averaged eight points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He also led the team in three-point percentage at 35.5%. Players expected to contend for the starting lineup include Gavin Van Gorp, Kaleb DeVries, and Brayden Nessa. With more than 75% of PCM’s scoring graduating, the goal for PCM will be to reload and contend in a tough Heart of Iowa Conference with state championship contenders Roland-Story and Nevada.

 

PCM finished the 2021-22 season with a 14-10 record, a 9-5 Heart of Iowa Conference record, and a district final playoff loss to No. 7 in Class 2A Des Moines Christian.
