With the exception of one player, the entire roster for the Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad will return for next season. That has Kelsey Goff and the rest of the coaching staff excited to see what her girls can do to improve in the offseason. Goff tells KNIA Sports she can already see the potential of the players to have a better season than this year.

Goff : “I’m already getting that mindset and seeing what the coaches are telling them. We can see their potential and hopefully they’ll come back and be ready to improve on their game.”

Freshman Addison Wadle led the Saints in scoring, only playing in 14 games due to an early season injury that kept her out. She averaged 13.6 points per game. Two sophomores and a junior were the leaders in rebounding with Kamryn Hendrickson leading the way at 144 which was 10th in the Bluegrass Conference junior Kasyn Reed with 118 and sophomore Brooklyn Metz grabbing 101. Freshman Kiana Jackson had 39 steals on the season and freshman Gabby Overgaard led the team in blocks with 42, which led the conference this season. Melcher-Dallas finished 8-13 after starting the season 0-6.
