Pleasantville’s girls’ basketball squad finished with a .500 record this season, and they have a few athletes that contributed in big ways in 2021-22.
Malorie McKinney led the way, leading Pleasantville in scoring, rebounds and blocks per game. McKinney averaged 12 points, ten rebounds, and four blocks per game. McKinney set the school record for most blocks in a game, season, and career this year for Pleasantville. She also led the team in shooting from the field, knocking in 45% of her shots. Adi Adreon was second on the team in scoring and first in free-throw shooting. Adreon averaged nine points per game and shot 72% from the free-throw line. She also tied a school record for most three-pointers in a game with six, doing it against Lynnville-Sully and Panorama. Riley Thill led the team in three-point percentage, knocking in 40.5% of her shots from beyond the arc. Azell Smith and Joelle Johnson tied for the team lead in steals, averaging two per game. Rachel Harvey led the team in assists per game for the third straight year, averaging just over 3.5 assists a game. Harvey also broke the career record for most assists by a Trojan this season.
Pleasantville finished the 2021-22 season with an 11-11 record and a 6-8 West Central Conference record.
