The Simpson softball team is off to a 2-1 start to their season after traveling down to Texas for three games over the last weekend. The Storm took down Austin 14-2 in six innings using 13 hits including five extra base hits, then split a two-game series with Dallas, falling 6-3 in game one and winning 8-5 in game two. Catcher Maddie Luderman earned American Rivers Conference Player of the Week honors after the three-game set, earning seven hits and driving in nine runs, including hitting two over the fence. The Storm won’t compete again until March 12th when they travel to Florida for the spring games series.
