Abnormally dry conditions are expanding across Iowa again, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor Report. Marion and Warren Counties are back in the first category of drought for the first time since November, after the region spent most of last spring and summer drier than normal. Chances for rain return this weekend, as does the threat for severe weather, as a slight risk has been issued by the National Weather Service Saturday afternoon and evening.
