After a successful season, PCM senior athlete Carson Vandelune will be continuing his basketball career at Grand View University in Des Moines.
Vandelune, a two-year starter for the Mustangs, averaged 17 points per game, shot 45% from the field and 34% from three-point range while starting all 24 games during his senior season. Vandelune also led the team in steals and assists, proving to be quick in transition along with teammate Durant Van Dyke. Vandelune says he chose Grand View because he connected with the coaches at the university.
“I really liked Grand View. I went on a couple of junior visits and a couple open gyms with the coaches. It just felt right. I really enjoyed their coaching staff and the way they coach their players.”
Vandelune helped lead PCM to back-to-back District Final appearances in his two years as a starter.
