With four starters graduating for Pleasantville’s girls’ basketball squad, a key player for the future will be Joelle Johnson.
Johnson was the Trojans’ sixth woman off the bench and showcased the potential to be a starter for next season. She played in all 22 games for Pleasantville and averaged nine points, two assists, and two steals per game as a freshman coming off the bench. Johnson proved to be a key piece for the Trojans this season and will look to continue to see her role grow on the team. In order to continue to get better, look for Johnson to improve on her shooting and taking care of the ball. Trojans’ fans should be excited for the future with Johnson as the potential starting point guard.
Pleasantville finished the 2021-22 season with an 11-11 record including a 6-8 record in West Central Conference play.
