One of the highlights of the Knoxville Boys Basketball season was the victory over Albia on February 1st. That 69-65 win was a turning point for the Panthers in that they were able to play defense and rise up to the challenge of beating a team above them in the conference.

Coach Troy Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the players showed that they can guard, and he hopes to see that improvement over the offseason…

Pearson: “I firmly believe we took a turn for the better in that game against Albia. I know the stats won’t bear that out with the teams we played at the end, but we have to realize when we guard the rest of the game will fall into place.”

Knoxville finished 5-17 this season and will look to improve on that record next season.
