Simpson Athlete Spencer Moon was awarded the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Midwest Region honors in the 3,000 and 5,000 meter events. Moon broke his own school record twice in the 3,000m this season twice, and broke a 37-year-old record in the 5,000, and qualified to the NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend in North Carolina.

In order to earn all-region honors, a student-athlete must be one of the top-five individuals in their event in their respective region. Moon ranked fourth in the Midwest Region in the 3000m and fifth in the 5000m.
