Both Pleasantville and PCM’s boys track squads competed at the IATC Track Meet in Ames Friday to open the season.
The Trojans had three top-ten finishes at the meet, with their highest coming in the 4×100 Meter Relay. Blayton Milles, Ryan Clement, Mason Scheve, and Ben Wicks finished seventh with a time of 46.13 seconds. Scheve had the highest individual finish for Pleasantville, placing ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.93 seconds. Edwin Escalante finished tenth in the high jump with a height of 5’6”.
The Mustangs had three top-25 finishes in the meet, with their highest coming in the 4×400 meter relay. Aydan Camu, Mickey Mackewich, Kaleb DeVries, and Gavin Fenton placed 21st with a time of 4:00. In the distance medley, Fenton, Camu, Sawyer Bouwkamp, and Riley Graber placed 23rd with a time of 4:28. The top individual finish for PCM came from Caleb Kuefner in the shot put. Kuefner placed 25th with a throw of 37’6”.
Pleasantville and PCM will begin their outdoor track season March 29th at Pella Christian.
