The Marion County Engineer’s Office would like to remind residents who are looking into dust control of important dates and information. Dust control is applied twice a year in the county on May 15 and July 15. In order to apply, dust control residents will need to contact one of these four approved vendors: Binns and Stevens Sprayers in Oskaloosa, Smith Fertilizer and Grain in Knoxville, Heffron Services in Urbandale, or Jerico Services in Indianola. The deadline for the first application is April 15 and the second application deadline is June 15. Late applications will not be accepted. Flags can be picked up at the Engineer’s office and must be maintained by the customer till October 1
