A different looking Melcher-Dallas Girls Track and Field Squad will suit up for Coach Amy Stuart this spring. Gone is legendary distance runner J’Lyn Knutson and also State Qualifier Grace Overgaard. In their place are several girls who are excited to step up their time on varsity. Stuart tells KNIA Sports her junior class will be called upon to deliver the goods for the Saints.

Stuart: “Out of my junior group, BrieAnna Remster is showing promise but she did not get to throw a lot because we had Grace Overgaard, and Haley Godfrey and Grace made State last year, so BrieAnna didn’t get to show what she could do, but I’m looking for her to do great things this year now that she’ll have her shot.”

The Saints will get their season underway on April 4th at Meskwaki Settlement.
