The Iowa Senior Health Insurance Information Program or SHIIP is currently looking for volunteer counselors for Marion County.  Knoxville Hospital and Clinic Business Office Manager Steve Bitzkowski spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about what the Counselors do.

“They are volunteers that provide information that will allow the patient to make the best decision on their particular scenario. The counselors are required to be objective and cannot give recommendations of insurance plans or insurance types. Their job is to give the patients all of the options so the patient can make their decision.
