After two seasons at the helm, Tom Wilkins has stepped down as head coach of the Pleasantville boys’ basketball squad.
Wilkins became the head coach of the Trojans in 2020 and went 20-25 in his two years at Pleasantville including an 11-20 record in West Central Conference play. Wilkins will be remembered as a coach that always stood up for his players. He was also instrumental in helping develop Mason Scheve into a star for the Trojans, en route to Scheve choosing to continue his basketball career at Grand View University.
In Wilkins’ final season at the helm, his Trojans finished with a 12-10 record, a 9-7 West Central Conference record, and a second-round playoff loss to PCM at Des Moines Christian.
