The Knoxville Federated Garden Club will be holding its annual Garden Gala Saturday, April 9 at Dyer Hudson Hall at the Marion County Fair Grounds in Knoxville. President of the Knoxville Federated Garden Club Lois Davis tells KNIA/KRLS News about the Garden Gala.

“It’s a celebration of anything that has to do with gardens and flowers. We will have seminars with three different speakers.”

Davis talks about the featured speakers.

“The first speaker is Paula Flynn. She is a member of the American Conifer Society and the North American Rock Garden Society. Our next speaker is Dan Boelman. He is a registered nurse who is the Customer Service Manager at Zanfel Laboratories that make Zanfel Poison Ivy wash. Dan also works with employees, healthcare providers, and patients dealing with poison ivy. Our third speaker is Darcy Maulsby. Darcy is a Master Gardener,  Master Food Preserver, and a fifth-generation farmer. She also owns and runs “Darcy Maulsby and Company” an Iowa storyteller.

Registration is $40 and all proceeds go to the Knoxville Federated Garden Club to support community projects. The event begins at 9 am on April 9
