With the spring sports season getting closer, Norwalk’s boys’ track and field squad will be fueled with their competitive spirit and goal to finish higher in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet.

The Warriors will be returning individual state qualifiers Ben Hanson and Grant Miller from last season and will have eight seniors on their roster for 2022. With the season approaching, Norwalk will have one more indoor meet before their first outdoor meet, which will be this week at Central College. Coach Matt Ramthun tells KNIA Sports that he is focused on controlling only what his team can control.

“Controlling what we can control and that burning desire to compete just comes naturally to a lot of our guys. So, we get in the lines and rings with these other teams and our competition is just fueled and guys typically respond really well.

Norwalk’s first outdoor meet of the season is March 22nd at Simpson College.
