Following a strong effort at the Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association Indoor State Meet, the Pella girls track and field team is excited for what’s possible this spring season.

Seniors Emily McMartin and Calla Kerndt are four-year varsity competitors who have qualified for state every year they’ve been on the roster, and bring a wealth of speed and experience to a group that has a mix of returning veterans and new, young runners and field event competitors. The duo are looking forward to what could be a special season for the program, after the pair helped the 4×100 relay qualify for the Drake Relays.

Pella continues the indoor track and field season with the boys at Central College Friday and the girls following on Saturday.
