The Simpson softball team is one a four-game winning streak after sweeping their doubleheader on Tuesday, taking down Defiance 4-3 and Wisconsin Lutheran 12-6. The Storm fell behind Defiance 2-0 through the first three-and-a-half innings, before cutting the deficit in half in the fourth with a walk from Kate Kriegel, then a two-RBI hit from Taryan Barrick-Wessels to take the lead, and staved off a comeback attempt in the seventh to win. The Storm got up early against Wisc. Lutheran after giving up a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, leading 4-2 after the third then blowing it open for eight runs in the sixth to put the game away, with Megan Crockett and Summer Pasutti each hitting a home run. The Storm are now 7-2 on the season and will play Lasell and Hamline today to continue the Spring Games in Florida.
