The Simpson baseball team is off to a roaring start to the season, on a five-game winning streak having taken down Farmingdale State and Clarkson earlier this week in a pair of 9-7 victories. The Storm defeated Farmingdale State getting off to a 4-2 lead after the first inning, then adding another four runs in the next two innings to lead 8-3, and Chris Miller had a solo shot in the fifth to seal the win. The Storm scored four runs in the fifth against Clarkson to take a 6-2 commanding lead, only to see Clarkson score two runs in the eighth, only to see the Storm answer with a pair of runs back to secure the victory. The Storm are 7-1 to start the season, and play a doubleheader vs Illinois Wesleyan today.
