The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams will each compete in a pair of meets this week, beginning their outdoor seasons. The Indians boys have had a pair of indoor meets where they tested several events at UNI and the IATC meet, where the girls sent some experienced competitors to the IATC meet last week. Girls coach Kim Arndt tells KNIA News the squad has a lot of returning talent this year, and that will make it fun to be able to find the best spots for each competitor and to see where the athletes can step up and make the team better.

Both the girls and boys are scheduled to compete at Simpson College on Tuesday, before heading to Grinnell on Thursday, as well as another meet for the boys at Waukee Northwest.
