Although they won’t be competing on their home track at Indianola Stadium, the Indianola boys and girls track and field teams don’t have far to travel as they compete in the Simpson College High School Classic today, their first outdoor meet of the season.

Both Indians squads competed in several indoor meets, and boys head coach Matt Oliver tells KNIA Sports the indoor meets don’t have a lot of priority in the program, but are a good way of placing a benchmark on where the athletes are at to begin the season, and where they can improve.

Action starts this afternoon at 4pm.
