The Indianola Community School District will be hosting a showing of the film Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age, as well as Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER this evening. Indianola School Board member Sue Wilson tells KNIA News Screenagers explores parental struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction and offers solutions to help kids find balance. Wilson also said it’s important for parents to know not only the negatives but the positives of screens in education and entertainment.

The movies will be shown at the Fridley Paramount 7 Theater at 4pm and 6pm. Both movies will be playing at each show time. Students in grades 5-12 are encouraged to attend with their parents. A children’s movie will be shown for younger kids; supervision will be provided. The district will cover the cost of each movie; concessions will be available for purchase.
