Forward with Faith is nearing completion on a second home supporting adults with disabilities and giving them a chance to live a more independent lifestyle.
Luke Nieuwsma with the Forward with Faith Board of Directors says the non-profit organization formed by the Fynaardt family in 2016 aimed to fill a gap for young adults graduating out of school systems but may not have an ability to qualify for other organizations providing support for them. He says the goal was to provide housing with special accommodations meant to support a variety of physical and mental needs and to give families a chance to provide independence for adults with disabilities. The first home completed was for young men, and the property going up at the corner of Columbus Street and Hazel in Pella will be for women.
Forward with Faith received a $14,000 boost from 100+ Men on a Mission Red Rock this week. The second home will be completed this summer. Read more about the organization here.
