The City of Indianola is holding a meet and greet for the finalists for the Indianola City Manager position next week. Interim City Manager Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News a total of 37 individuals applied for the position, and the consultants hired by the city have relayed their reports on the applicants to the Indianola City Council, and now the public will have a chance to weigh in and meet the finalists. The meet and greet will take place at Hubbell Hall in the Kent Campus Center on the Simpson College Campus on Friday, April 1st from 6 to 7:30pm.

The Indianola City Council will meet in a special session earlier that day to interview the candidates in closed session, then will all be present at the public meet and greet.

The deadline to file for election for local races is today. In Warren County, Warren County Supervisors Aaron DeKock and Crystal McIntyre will see their terms expire, along with Warren County Attorney Doug Eichholz, Warren County Treasurer Julie Daugherty, and Warren County Recorder Polly Glascock.

Candidates who have filed to run as of Thursday afternoon include:
