The motto for Pleasantville’s girls’ golf squad is the same as it was last year, which is to compete and be a factor.

 

The Trojans finished second in the West Central Conference meet the previous season, placing behind Van Meter. Coach Jeff Koerselman tells KNIA Sports that he is looking to be a contender at the top of the conference just like they did the previous year.

 

“As long as we’re competing with the teams at the top, that’s where we want to be. You can’t always look past those teams. Van Meter has a great squad that’s coming back. If we’re just able to compete with them again, that’s our goal. Just compete.”

 

The Trojans’ season gets underway April 4th with a quad at West Central Valley.
