The Pella Christian girls soccer team will start their spring season tonight, while the Eagles boys and girls track and field teams had the meets for this evening canceled.

The Eagles girls soccer team is 3-0 against Ottumwa in the Bound era and defeated the Bulldogs last year 5-1 behind three goals from Joslyn Terpstra. Head Coach Mike Buchheit says he can’t wait to get the games underway.

“I’m looking forward to this season, probably as excited as I’ve been for any season or team. Last year as we started back after COVID, we had a little smaller roster with only 18 girls out. This year we’ve got a record number of girls out for soccer. We’ve got 25 girls rostering up, and some really good returning options for us.”

The Pella Christian girls soccer game tonight is at Ottumwa starting at 6 p.m. In addition to the Eagles track and field meets being canceled tonight, their meet Thursday at Ogden has also been canceled. The Pella Christian track teams are off until next Tuesday, April 5th at Davis County.
