The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for severe weather today across most of Iowa.
The primary threat will be scattered thunderstorms producing large hail and possible wind gusts up to 60 MPH. Brief downpours are also possible, but widespread heavy rainfall is unlikely, as are tornadoes. If they do form, storms would hit the area in the late evening, likely after sunset locally.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on with live coverage for any tornado or severe thunderstorm warning for any portion of Marion and Warren Counties.
