Ian Heetland Director of Choral activities talks about the success of the Vocal students.
“We took a handful of students to get rated on a one to five scale, and a couple of our soloists were one point away from a perfect score on their performances. The top choir, our Chamber Singers, got a division one rating which is the highest rating. They also received a perfect score and they were given the Best In Center Award which is given out for the best performance of the day. The Chamber Singers qualified to go to Iowa State University in May to perform at a Showcase.”
Vocal Students receiving a division one rating include:
Claire Schneider – choir solo
Kai Ethell – choir solo
Lily Yocum – choir solo
