With the wind howling at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville, both Panther Golf Squads were able to get in nine holes and fare reasonably well. The boys won a triangular over Clarke and West Central Valley as Knoxville got a 163 outdistancing Clarke, who shot a 184 and West Central Valley at 268. Evan Smith was medallist to lead Knoxville with a 37 and Beau Leisure was runner-up with a 41. The girls finished runner up to Clarke 204-267 with West Central Valley recording an incomplete score. Faith Roozeboom with a 48 getting overall runner up and missing medallist by one shot. Both Panther squads will head to Pleasantville on Tuesday to play in a quad with Pella and Clarke. On the pitch it was another tough night for the Knoxville girls as they lost to Newton 6-0. Knoxville is 0-2 and will look to regroup in its home opener Thursday vs Carlisle.
