Norwalk Boys Soccer Stumbles Out of Gate at Dowling Catholic
Norwalk’s boys’ soccer squad struggled to put their defense together as they dropped their opening match of the year at Dowling Catholic 4-2.
The Warriors were able to put goals on the scoreboard, but the Maroons’ offensive firepower proved to be too much. Norwalk got goals from Izec Dingman and Caden Endres. Assists came from Tavin Ferner and Jack Brown. Coach Dustin Kralik says that they will continue to play against stiff competition, because that is what Norwalk will go up against this postseason.
“We’re gonna play most of the top teams in 3a throughout the year, so we know we are going to be challenged and we want to expose ourselves and see what we need to fix for the postseason.”
Norwalk will be back in action for their next match of the season Thursday at Des Moines East.
Norwalk Boys Tennis Postponed
Norwalk’s opening match against Ankeny Centennial is postponed until April 15th.
The Warriors will now have to wait a full week before their first meet of the season, which is next Tuesday against Oskaloosa. Norwalk’s match from last night was postponed due to maintenance being done on the courts. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest updates on Norwalk sports.
