Simpson baseball player Brady Held continued his trend of showing no mercy on offense or defense Tuesday, as the Storm split a doubleheader with Nebraska Wesleyan, striking out 16 on the mound and hitting two homers. The Storm took game one 2-1 with Held dominating on the mound allowing only three Prairie Wolves hits and surpassing the 15 strikeout mark for the second time this season. The Storm fell in game two 7-6, and couldn’t hold on to a 3-2 lead they earned in the top of the fifth, then again took a 6-4 lead in the seventh, but the Prairie Wolves answered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to get to the final mark. The Storm are now 9-7 overall and 1-4 in conference play, and will work in a three-game non-conference series with Cornell this weekend.
