The Knoxville Police Department Reserve Unit is hosting an Easter-related event this Saturday.  Knoxville Community Service Officer Meredith Clark spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.

“This is the first time we have done anything like this as we will be having pictures with the Easter bunny at the Knoxville Public Library from 10 am-12 pm.  People can bring their kids to get a picture with the Easter bunn,y and it supports a great cause. There is a free-will donation for the Police Reserve Unit. We are a group of volunteers that supplement the Knoxville Police Department.”

 The fundraiser is for updating body armor, safety vests, and other equipment to help protect the officers.
