After having their first two outdoor meets postponed due to weather conditions, Norwalk’s boys’ track squad will finally look to get their season underway at Winterset today.
The Warriors’ last meet was the indoor Little Hawkeye Conference Meet at Grinnell College back on March 24th. Norwalk is anxious to get on the track after a week of practice and meets postponed. The Warriors will be competing with 14 other teams at the Winterset Invite including the host, Carlisle, ADM, North Polk, Nevada, and Greene County. Coach Matt Ramthun says that his focus will be on his team competing at a high level.
“We get in the lines and rings with these other teams. That competition is fueled and our guys really respond pretty well.”
The meet at Winterset High School begins at 4:30 PM.
