One year ago, the ground was broken on the new Knoxville Middle school project. Craig Mobley, Knoxville School District Business Manager, spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the progress of the project.

“It’s going really well. We are well into the project and are farther along than I personally thought we would be at this point. The board approved a change order for an outdoor basketball court. The kids during their lunch break or breaks in time during the day are going to need a space outside where they can be active. It’s simply going to be a concrete pad with a couple of adjustable basketball hoops and the court lines painted on it. It will be a place they can go and release some energy throughout the day.”

The district is anticipating being able to move into the new building in the early fall
