The Pella boys and girls track and field teams will finally make their outdoor season debut today in Grimes. The Dutch runners, jumpers, and throwers head to the DCG Mustang Invitational — the defending 3A champion boys had their first outdoor meet cancelled Tuesday at Waukee, while the girls planned their opener at their conference rivals’ relatively new invitational co-ed meet. A field of 3A and 4A teams will await Pella athletes for competition. Events begin shortly after 11 a.m. at DCG High School in Grimes.

Fresh off of a 2-0 win this week over Winterset, the #12 in Class 2A Pella girls soccer team is on the road to Centerville to take on Ottumwa and the Big Reds. The Dutch will play back-to-back matches starting at 10:15 a.m. at the Centerville Lakeview Complex.
