Norwalk’s girls’ golf squad opened the 2022 season with an impressive showing at their home invitational, finishing first overall.

The Warriors had a team score of 200, 39 strokes more than second-place Carlisle and 49 strokes more than third-place Bondurant-Farrar. Norwalk had two of the top three golfers in the meet. Emily Juergens finished tied for first with Rylee Roberts of Des Moines East with a score of 48. Ruby Hoch placed third in the meet with a score of 49. Nikko Higgins finished tied for fifth with Tessa Rounds of Des Moines East with a score of 51.

Norwalk’s next meet will be Tuesday, which is their first road meet of the season. The meet is a triangular at the Perry Country Club with Perry and Ballard.
