The 2022 season will begin for Pleasantville’s golf squads Monday as they will have a West Central Conference quad at West Central Valley.
The quad will be held at the 5 by 80 Golf and Country Club in Menlo. The Trojans will compete with West Central Valley, ACGC, and Madrid. Pleasantville’s boys will be bringing back six golfers from last season, including the golfer who had the lowest nine-hole average last season, Carter Ollom. Boys Coach Chuck Sinclair says that the meet will be a good measuring stick for where his team currently stands.
“The top teams in our conference are going to be Panora(ma), Des Moines Christian, Van Meter, they’re the top teams. These teams like West Central Valley, ACGC, and Madrid, that’s going to be a great chance for us to see where we stack up with some of the middle-pack teams in our conference.”
The Trojans’ girls will be bringing back their top golfer from last season, who is Kristen Roe. Both Pleasantville teams competed against these same West Central Conference foes last season and both finished in the top two.
The meet at the 5 by 80 Golf and Country Club gets underway at 4:00 PM.
